Mind Body Spirit Journal officially launches May 15

Taking this site live on May 15. (Technically, it’s already live. I haven’t mastered how to develop a WordPress site without being live. But I haven’t started promoting it yet. That begins on May 15.)

Expect to have most of the bugs worked out of the very cool modification of the 3-column Relaxation Theme design by then. Expect to have significant posts up in at least five different sections. Expect to announce the existence of MindBodySpiritJournal.com to a couple lists that day. And never look back.

Am also concurrently launching a public “45-Day Challenge” for developing and launching a self-help e-product. (That announcement is to go out on May 8 or maybe after the 15th. We’ll see.) Those joining the challenge will be given passwords to a page on this site where they can check in daily and report their activities and progress. We’ll all be working together and apart to create and launch unique products/offerings.

The biggest remaining WordPress challenges I’m facing:

1. Probably minor. The 3-column format is not rendering property in Internet Explorer on single-post pages. (When you click the “more” button on a post. On the page that comes up with the entire article, the right-hand column is pushed down.)

2. Have not figured out how to get my Categories to display “naturally” with Parent/Child ordering. Am temporarily using a clunky plug-in that allows that display but it should be happening without the plug-in. Am suspecting that there is some coding, somewhere, overriding this.

3. Am going to experiment again with the Post2Page plug-in demonstrated so nicely at http://www.centralchurchcambridge.ca/?page_id=56. Could not get it working in December and January, and the author thought it was related to how I was using Permalinks. Am using them different in this iteration. Maybe it will work. WANT to be able to create static Pages, with their own logos and own specific sidebar content that will draw ALL posts from a particular category. So basically, each of those Pages (as distinguished in WordPress from lowercase ‘p’ pages) would be a standalone landing page.

4. Once have managed to get number 3 working, add specific, content-realted affiliate product ads in sidebar columns on specific Pages.

Other things to do:

- Get the disclaimer and terms info into the footer.

- Rebuild kwc.com and wellnessU.org pages per notes. (Most recent would be 1.28.06 wordpressdesignnotes file.)

- Build basic ExcitingSolution.com placeholder page template.

- Put up at least one product page on ExcitingSolution.com
