How you can lose 40 pounds without really trying, Part 3: It’s not your fault
by Ken Winston Caine
Overweight is simply a physical signal of imbalance.
It’s a call to assess and adjust and reconnect with your unique and most essential higher values.
It doesn’t mean that you are unhappy, necessarily.
It doesn’t mean that you are unproductive, necessarily.
It doesn’t mean that you are not a good person.
It just means that on some level, in some way, you are out of touch with your higher values and higher needs and deep natural intuition.
Your body-mind is not functioning normally and optimally.
And this does not mean that you are somehow a faulty human being. It simply means that you are human.
For there to be balance, there must be imbalance. And humans, all humans, slip in and out of balance all the time.
To small degrees. Back and forth.
It’s like you take one or two steps to the left and then one or two steps to the right and on and on as you slowly amble forward. Rarely are you standing right in the center, in that place of perfect balance. But your course, on average, is one of balance.
When all goes well, imbalances are soon counterweighted.
When an imbalance isn’t counterweighted, and becomes extreme or chronic, trouble erupts in some aspect of your life.
Maybe you’re suddenly overstressed.
Maybe your health fails.
Maybe you pack on weight.
Excess weight is a call to slow down. Step back. Shift focus. Grab a wider perspective.
Open your consciousness and spirit to greater awareness.
Re-explore values, needs, actions, behaviors, habitual “junk thinking.” And find gentle ways to naturally restore equilibrium and constructive focus.
Exploring the Spirit of Wellness factors will lead you through that process.
