Timothy Leary Had It Right — You MUST Do This

Rather than attending Loving U, most of us are life-long non-learners at Dysfunctional U.
We study, agonize over and discuss with anyone who will listen what doesn’t work well. And who and what we don’t like. And who and what we don’t want. And who and what we don’t have. Poor, poor, pitiful us.
We sharpen our disappointment. We sharpen our put-downs and trash talk and curses. And we curse things and curse others. We look for the other shoe to drop and of course spot it, frequently, the instant after it drops on us.
And even then we actively punish ourselves. We beat ourselves up hundreds of times a day for what we perceive to be our failures, our shortcomings, our stupidity. (Don’t think so? Listen to your inner self talk for a day. Or to somebody else’s. Insert an imaginary smiley face of your own design right here.)
What’s stupid about all this is that we stay enrolled, and continue trying to impress our teachers and classmates, in the wrong school.
Switch schools! Switch schools, old friend. Loving U is a much nicer place to play. Turns out life is a lot, lot easier there. And tons more fun.
