The easiest — and most difficult — and most powerful meditation

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

by Ken Winston Caine

The most powerful form of meditation that you can practice is both the easiest and the most difficult.

What I mean by that paradox is that this meditation is easy to do and difficult to sustain.

This form of meditation is easy to practice in part because you can do it anywhere at any time in any situation. It doesn’t require quiet, aloneness, fixation on a sound or mantra or image or any particular breathwork, or blanking of the mind.

It is a powerful meditation in that its results are felt and evidenced immediately, and not only by you, but by others with whom you interact.

This powerful meditation is the practice of presence. The practice of being and acting fully present in the current moment. Holding your presence fully in the now.

Mastering this meditation is a 5-step process. To engage in this meditation practice, simply: (more…)

Who is charismatic and why?

Friday, July 13th, 2007

I’m doing a study of charisma.

Would you help me because I need a wide variety of input and
opinion?

Just two questions:

1. Who are the 4, 5 or 12 most charismatic people you can think
of? (Anyone living or dead; famous or not.)

2. For each person you name, what 1, 2 or 3 key traits contribute
most to your perception of that person as charismatic?

Please respond by clicking on the word ‘Comments’ or the phrase ‘leave a response’ highlighted just below.

Life isn’t about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself

Friday, August 18th, 2006

by Scott Ginsberg

BE brilliant at the basics. Be the change you want to see in the world. Be the first one. Be the only one. Be unforgettable. Be interesting. Be a sleeper. Be that guy. Be the world’s expert on yourself. Be better than yesterday, but not as good as tomorrow. Be confident enough to be humble. But be somebody who reminds everybody of nobody else in the world.

AND DON’T wish it was easier, wish you were better. Don’t sell, enable people to buy. Don’t let the bastards get you down. Don’t be weary in well doing, for in due season you will reap a great harvest if you faint not. And don’t wait for the mainstream to (more…)

Anthony Robbins’s secret: Learn to ‘vibrate’ success

Sunday, August 6th, 2006

By the time Tony walked in to meet with Jack, he
was “vibrating”. If you want to be wealthy and happy,
then the only way to achieve success is to vibrate
confidence. So when you walk in a room, the whole
room notices you. Your presence projects success. Your
voice communicates success. Your body posture
communicates success. Everything

How to get more enjoyment and happiness from life

Friday, July 28th, 2006

“…if you are constantly looking at how you can get more enjoyment and happiness out of your life, instead how bad things are…there will only be one way your life can go from that point on….”
– Gary Vurnum

Excerpted from Our Success Partnership.

P.S. That “one way” is UP!

How you can lose 40 pounds without really trying, Part 2: Never diet

Wednesday, July 26th, 2006

by Ken Winston Caine

Don’t diet.

Diets require willpower. Diets imply “temporary.” Diets deprive.

(And diets deprave. I say that with only the tiniest tip of tongue in cheek. I’ve DONE diets. I know about diets.)

Diets don’t work.

At least not for long. Not for weight loss.

We all know people who’ve lost lots of weight while rigorously subjecting themselves to dieting.

And we all know people who’ve put it all back on, and then some, within 12 months of finishing the diet.

Maybe you are one of those people.

I am.

A diet punishes you. You may enjoy and rationalize self-flogging (more…)

How you can lose 40 pounds without really trying

Friday, July 21st, 2006

by Ken Winston Caine

You already know how to lose 40 pounds. (But not in three weeks!) And how to keep it off.

We all do.

The missing ingredient, when we are overweight, is finding and maintaining the life-loving mindset and self-esteem that allows that to happen without any seeming effort. Without struggle.

You MUST do this without struggle if you are to succeed.

And you know how to do that, too, because you’ve done it before. (If not with weight, then with some other challenge that you’ve completely conquered to the point that you can’t even imagine how you could have ever been a “victim” of it. Where your enthusiasm and excitement and belief in a completely different set of behaviors and beliefs completely supplanted the old, self-destructive ones.)

How did you do it then?

First examine values, thinking, behaviors that are limiting you, weighing you down, and discover a time when those were not there, were not important, were not in control

What put you in that place where the (more…)

Three transformative questions

Tuesday, July 4th, 2006

I’m playing with three questions this week. Three transformative questions.

(Because I need to. It’s that time again.)

You might find these useful sometime, too.

1. Is love of life stamped all over your face?

2. Is infinite possibility an aura that radiates around you and infects others?

3. Do you waste time being a critic? Or do you invest time being a creator, builder, (more…)
